Earrings, Bracelets, Necklaces Oh My! Rocksbox Jewelry Subscription Service Review
Have I told you how much I love online shopping? Well, if I haven't, my apologies.
I absolutely love online shopping! Especially when returns are free and hassle free. I think every international student who has been fortunate enough to attend school in a small town with no form of public transportation appreciates this convenient way to shop. I guess this appreciation stuck with me all these years later.
Today, the convenience of online shopping is so much more advanced. We now have subscription services, auto shipping is a very common thing, and delivery is almost instant. Dream (of a lazy shopaholic) come true!
I’ve tried subscription services for shoes, makeup, hair, skincare products, and food delivery services; and I always enjoyed the ease of it all. You take a quiz telling your stylist (or nutritionist) about yourself, then you sit pretty and act surprised when you receive a package, cause you really are, cause you forgot you signed up for a monthly gift from you to you. What’s not to like?
So this year, while trying to step up my jewelry game, I stumbled across Rocksbox on Instagram. My curiosity got the best of me and I started doing some research. Here’s what I found:
For a small flat monthly fee, Rocksbox offers you three jewelry pieces to try with free shipping back and forth. You get to keep (buy at a member’s price/big discount) the ones you love, and you can return the ones you can live without. As soon as you send your box back, another shipment will make its way to you. So you can try quite a few jewelry pieces for a flat monthly fee based on how fast you send back your box. Sweet!
I fell in love with the concept instantly and just had to give it a try. During the course of my research, I had stumbled across a promo code offering me the first month free. Hmm, sign me up please!
In a matter of minutes, I had built a style profile to help my stylist get to know me better, added a few items to my wish list, and was already looking forward to receiving my first box.
Building my style profile was quite easy. Some of the questions I was asked touched on my preference for metal, trends, style of necklaces, bracelets, earrings and rings, and my ring size(s). These questions were super easy to answer because the multiple choice options actually included pictures describing the options. I later found out that if your style changes, you can change your preference by retaking the survey.
So to recap, here’s how it works:
Go to Rocksbox.com
Create a wish list of items you’d like to try.
They have an extensive list of exclusive and designer styles you can pick from like Kate Spade, Kendra Scott, Perry Street, Rudiment, Wilde, House of Harlow 1960, Aster, and many more.
You can even upload a picture or link of an outfit you need your next set to match.
Then your stylist hand selects your set, and sends you an email giving you the opportunity to swap out any items you don’t want until your set is just right for you.
Once your set is just as you like it, your box is shipped to you.
Mine get to me in about 3 to 4 days and I get a text alert every step of the way. I love it!
When you receive your items, you can keep them and wear them for as long as you like.
And for the health conscious ladies like me, I checked, they assure us that they thoroughly clean and sanitize each item before sending them out. I also clean the earrings with some alcohol to satisfy my obsessive compulsive side.
If you fall in love with an item (and you probably will), then simply go to your "Buy From My Set" page (shown below) to buy the piece(s) you can't live without. You can chose to skip this step and go right to step #8. Rocksbox will assume you are buying any item you don't return and bill you for it.
Rocksbox gives you a monthly credit to use towards your purchase and an additional discount if you choose to buy all 3 pieces.
For the ones you want to send back, you can ship them back in the reusable envelope using the prepaid shipping label provided. Then simply drop the package in the mail or at a USPS drop-off location.
Luckily for me, my office has an outgoing USPS box I can use.
As soon as your box is on its way, Rocksbox (through tracking) is aware and starts preparing for your next set's shipment.
While you wait, you can leave some feedback by rating the items on a “love,” “Like,” or“Dislike” scale to help your stylist get to know you better.
As a YouTuber and aspiring fashion blogger, I like to stay on trend as much as possible while staying within a reasonable and sustainable budget. You could say I have champagne taste on a beer budget. Since I've been using Rocksbox's service for the past 6 months, I've been able to stay fabulously accessorized without breaking the bank.
The trend component was actually the most thrilling to me. I got so excited when I was watching Arie's season of The Bachelor and saw several of the girls wearing Kendra Scott earrings (Elle) similar to the ones in my Rocksbox set that week (Bexley).
Honestly, my only problem is that if I could have it my way, I'd hold on to a minimum of two of the pieces I receive each time. I actually think I am not using the service to its full capacity because I refuse to send my box back until I have had a reason to rock each piece and rock it well *snap *snap! I think I actually once sat on a box for about 3 weeks because I didn't want to let the items go.
The drake ring set from my last box was worn almost everyday for two weeks straight. I actually slipped up in front of Brandon and said they were my favorite rings. To which he replied, "Shouldn't your wedding rings be your favorite set?" Yikes!! But alas, they weren't in my June budget and I had to part with them. The good thing is that I can still buy them from the Rocksbox website later, maybe even on clearance. For now, I'm already tracking my next box which will be here in about 3 days.
I love that Rocksbox gives me access to the ultimate designer jewelry collection for a steal and honestly, I think you'll like it too.
I've partnered with Rocksbox to make it easier for our readers to try this service for free. To get your first box on the house, go to Rocksbox.com, and use code: brandonandtobixoxo at checkout.
Here are a few times you've probably seen me wearing Rocksbox jewelry:

As always, thanks for stopping by Tobi's Corner. I look forward to your next visit.
